GERD and Acid Reflux can Cause Enormous Amounts of Pain, but that can be Stopped with Natural Remedies and Treatments In 1977 I was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer, which at that time could not be cured. In the mid 1980’s two Australian doctors’ discovered that peptic ulcers were caused by a bacteria name H-Pylori. They also determined it could be cured by taking extremely strong antibiotics over a two week period. When I went to my doctor in 1977 he told me it could not be cured, but he could prescribe the first drug ever invented that help reduce the pain caused by a peptic ulcer. Its name was Tagamet. So, of course suffering horrendous amounts of pain at the time, I started taking it. Over the next few months I noticed I did not feel the same anymore. I was always depressed and my breast had started growing like women’s breast, which needless to say was extremely embarrassing. I read the warning label that came with the drug; and sure enough, these were side affects of the drug. Well, that was it; I had to put the medication down for good. I was all on my own at this time, my doctor could not help me and there were no drugs I could take to relieve my pain. I had to either figure this out myself or I would have to live a life of misery forever. I started keeping a daily diary and keep a notebook with me everywhere I went. If I felt pain, I wrote down what I did right before I felt the pain. If I felt good, I wrote down what I did right before I felt good. Little by little over the years I was able to reduce my pain level, until it got to the point I lived virtually pain free. The pain caused by a peptic ulcer has to be at least 50 to 100 times more than the pain caused by GERD, acid reflux or heartburn. If I could teach myself to live pain free with a peptic ulcer, I ensure you I can teach you to live pain free if you suffer from GERD, acid reflux or heartburn utilizing the same all-natural remedies I employed.
