Acid Reflux TeaAcid reflux teas have been used for thousands of years in civilizations spanning the globe to provide smoothing relief for the pain and discomfort caused by acid reflux, heartburn, indigestion and GERD. These teas are made with various herbs that have been proven to ease the agony and discomfort generated by these conditions. Many of these herbs have had double blind medical studies conducted on them and are approved by various governmental governing agencies in countries all of the world. The book names each herb and provides the history, therapeutic uses and recommended dosage for each of these natural treatments confirmed as exceptional ways to end the pain caused by acid reflux. Typical Acid Reflux Tea Recipes Gentian – The tea is made with 2 ounces of the root, 1 ounce of dried orange peel and 1/2 ounce bruised cardamom seeds are combined to make the make the drink. Add sugar to flavor as needed. Goldenseal - To make a tea mix 2 to 3 teaspoons of dried herb in 1 cup of water, bring to a boil, and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes; strain and drink. Take three times per day. Juniper - The tea is made by pouring 2/3 cup boiling water over 2/3 teaspoon (2 g) of dried berries, steeping for ten minutes, and straining. This dose is repeated three or four times per day. The best tea is made from berries rubbed through a sieve not more than one day prior to brewing. Caraway - Generally, 3–5 drops of natural essential oils or 3–5 ml of tincture of any of these herbs, taken in water two to three times per day before meals, can be helpful. Alternately, a tea can be made by grinding 2–3 teaspoons of the seeds of fennel or caraway or the leaves of peppermint, and then simmering them in a cup of water (covered) for ten minutes. Drink three or more cups per day just after meals.
